There’s never a dull moment with Gemma Collins around, thanks to her larger-than-life personality. And while it’s no different when we catch up with the former TOWIE star this time around, she admits she hasn’t been feeling 100% herself following a recent health scare.
Gemma, 41, has had a rough time as of late, battling with her PCOS [polycystic ovary syndrome] as well as an underactive thyroid. But earlier this month, things took a turn for the worse as she came down with a mystery illness that left her feeling “really unwell”.
While she’s maintained a positive attitude and ploughed on with her busy schedule in true GC style – filming More Than Daffs And Taffs in Wales – the reality star tells us her fiancé Rami Hawash was almost forced to rush her to hospital after she collapsed earlier this month.
“I have been so ill I cannot tell you,” she tells new. “My workload has been a lot, but I’ve had a virus. I’ve been really, really, really unwell. I literally had to film in Wales and I was very unwell.
“I had to call the doctor out and the doctor said to me, ‘Look, I’m going to give you medicine but I actually think this is a virus and it’s not going to work.’”
