From the moment they set foot in the South African villa last month, Love Island sweethearts Shaq Muhammad and Tanya Manhenga only had eyes for each other.
Having opted to stick together throughout the series so far – despite several nail-biting recoupling ceremonies – it looks as though nothing can break these lovebirds apart.
And although they’re not officially boyfriend and girlfriend yet, last week 24-year-old airport security officer Shaq asked his new flame if they’re “basically exclusive” already, before telling the lads, “My heart is with Tanya.”
And Liverpool-born biomedical science student Tanya, 23, told her new beau she couldn’t live without him, adding, “You’re full of love and you care about me.”
But despite fans hoping the loved-up duo can go the distance, Tanya’s mum Polite has some reservations about her daughter’s new man.
“I don’t think we’ve seen enough to judge his character just yet,” a sceptical Polite tells new.
Two weeks into the latest series, Shaq and Tanya shocked viewers by dropping the L-bomb. “I love you,” he whispered to her during a private chat, before Tanya reciprocated the feeling, telling him, “I love you, baby!”
