Sam Thompson has had his fair share of dating ups and downs over the years – many screened on Made In Chelsea – so we couldn’t think of anyone better to answer our Valentine’s Day- inspired reader dilemmas.
The 30-year-old has been in a relationship with former Love Island star Zara McDermott, 26, for four years and currently shares a house in west London with her and their two ragdoll cats, Albus and Cedric.
After a rocky start, and even a brief split in 2020 after Zara admitted she had been unfaithful, the couple are now stronger than ever and regularly use Instagram to give fans updates about their happy home life and sun-soaked holidays.
Before meeting Zara, Sam dated MIC’s Sophie Habboo – who’s now set to marry his pal Jamie Laing – for six months, but was left devastated after she broke up with him.
The Love Island: Aftersun host was so upset by the split he ended up quitting the show for a while, before returning with Zara in tow.
Before Sophie, he had a three-year on/off relationship with Tiffany Watson, but they split in 2018. He also had a short-term romance with former X Factor star Amelia Lily, who he met while appearing on the 2017 series of Celebrity Big Brother.
Sam later admitted he hadn’t treated Amelia “very well”.
