She’s a pop singer, fashion icon and devoted mum, and life is looking sweet for Louise Redknapp as she celebrates her 50th birthday on 4 November.
After enduring her share of heartbreak since she and ex, Jamie Redknapp, announced their shock split in 2017, following 19 years of marriage, Louise, according to our source, is finally ready to put herself first and mark this milestone as a new chapter.
“As she turns 50, this is going to be the best year yet for Louise. She looks amazing, her career is flourishing and she’s never been more in love,” the source said. “People forget Louise has been through a lot and had a massive career – it’s like she’s lived a lot of lives. Going through such a public heartbreak was tough, but she’s more confident now and is really blossoming.”
However, rewinding just three years, former Liverpool midfielder Jamie, 50, remarried in October 2021 and welcomed son Raphael with his model wife Frida Andersson just a month later, which was, no doubt, another painful blow to Louise, who had been with Jamie for more than 22 years.
At the time, Louise put her family first and insisted that her plan was to “remain single” for the sake of her sons, Charley, 20, and Beau, who turns 16 this week. The star previously said, “I’ve felt this as a mum... to say this in the most sort of respectful way, my boys’ lives changed dramatically [when she and Jamie split] and then changed again when Jamie got married and had a family. Their life changed and I felt like I needed to be their one staple.”
