Lucy Mecklenburgh and Ryan Thomas put on a united front last week following the furore that was stirred up by snaps of Ryan and actress Zaraah Abrahams at the National Television Awards.
The couple stepped out in Essex with their children, Roman, two, and Lilah, five months, stopping for lunch with Ryan’s former Coronation Street co-star Chris Fountain along the way.
Days earlier, photos emerged of Ryan, 38, hugging Zaraah – who he previously worked with on the ITV soap – at an afterparty following the NTAs. But despite the pictures making headlines, a source told new Lucy had brushed off the gossip as she trusts Ryan and knows there is nothing in them.
