Madonna has been urged by fans to "slow down", following a terrifying health scare that left her in intensive care for five days.
The star, 64, who was fighting a bacterial infection, is now recuperating at home after being. discharged from hospital last Thursday. And as it's confirmed that she has postponed her Madonna: The Celebration Tour, fans are relieved that the singer is taking a step back.
One wrote, "EVEN IF you think you feel OK you NEED TO STOP sometimes and care about your health baby!!" While another said, "She seems exhausted and worn out. She needs to look after herself."
The Like A Virgin singer had been in the middle of gruelling 12-hour-day rehearsals for her upcoming 84-date tour when she became unwell on 24 June.
Last week, Madonna's manager Guy Oseary confirmed in a statement that she spent several days in intensive care.
He revealed, "Her health is improving. However, she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected. At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour."
At one stage while she was being treated, her family were said to be "preparing for the worst".
