'Michael brings calm to my crazy world'

Coleen Nolan opens up on her rekindled romance and how her children helped her discover she deserved to be loved

After years of romantic woes, Coleen Nolan has finally found her “happy ever after”, opening up to new about how therapy has helped her rekindle her romance with former partner Michael Jones.

Sitting down for a chat in her cosy Cheshire home, the Loose Woman star appears more content than she has done for years.

“Things with Michael are going great. We’ve been through the mill, it being me!” she tells us. “But we’re in a really, really happy place. We’re taking it every day and enjoying each other’s company a lot. He brings a lot of calmness and peace to my crazy life.”

Coleen and Michael, who met on Tinder in 2021, announced their relationship in January 2022, but split three months later. Having got back together earlier this year, the star admits she had to “work on herself” before letting love in.

She says, “We went public the first time and then we split up after that because I felt that there was pressure on it, it was too soon and too much, so I backed away a bit.

“Then I went to therapy, which really changed my mindset. Now I realise that I am worthy, and maybe I went through all that s**t in the past because I deserve love now.”

Coleen’s children, who she describes as “incredibly protective”, were the ones who pushed her to self-love. She shares Shane Jr, 34, and Jake, 31, with actor Shane Richie, and daughter Ciara, 22, with musician Ray Fensome.
