Ever since Christine and Paddy McGuinness announced their split in 2022, the pair have remained amicable and they co-parent under the same roof in their family home in Cheshire for the sake of their kids.
Paddy – best known for shows such as Take Me Out and Max And Paddy’s Road To Nowhere with fellow comedian Peter Kay – has kept pretty tight-lipped about their impending divorce. But the comedian’s latest stories on his dating escapades have left Christine feeling “deeply hurt” as he lifted the lid for the first time on how he was ready to throw his hat back in the ring.
After admitting to “struggling” initially with the split, Paddy – who shares nine-year-old twins Penelope and Leo and daughter Felicity, seven, with Christine – said, “At the moment we are both single and if she is in a relationship, it’s her business.
“I waited for 12 months and eventually thought about giving dating a try. I’ve had dates over the past two years, one with a celebrity, one with someone not in the public eye.”
Paddy sparked speculation late last year that he was ready to move on when he shared an image on Instagram featuring two mugs of tea, each of a different size. He captioned the post, “His and hers,” adding fuel to rumours of a possible new romance.
This was then followed by reports that Paddy was spotted “getting cosy” with presenter Kirsty Gallacher.
