Charlotte Crosby’s baby shower was as delightfully extra as you’d imagine. From a drag queen show to a 4am finish, the reality star pulled out all the stops to throw an unforgettably wild evening to mark the impending arrival of her baby daughter with boyfriend Jake Anker.
“It was meant to finish at midnight,” says Charlotte, who is 32 weeks pregnant, as we catch up with her the morning after.
“It was a long one! Luckily, my house is big enough that if I go to sleep on the top floor I can’t hear anyone – so I snuck off to bed early but I still had the Geordie Shore lot in my house until four in the morning.”
Held at her Sunderland home, which she nicknames The Crosby Mansion, the bash for 30 guests – including Geordie Shore OGs Sophie Kasaei and Holly Hagan, as well as Marnie Simpson and Nathan Henry – kicked off at 3pm on 20 August.
Delicious cocktails like passion fruit Martini, Pink Lady, Old Fashioned and non-alcoholic Heineken and prosecco options were laid on by Heybartender, while canapés of deep-fried brie squares and battered prawns were passed around.
Gifts were placed on a table made out of the word “Baby” while stunning white balloon arrangements and giant gold hearts by One Stop Events transformed the garden. A selfie wall was positioned in one corner and there was also a
andyfloss stall. Seated outside for a two-course dinner, guests were offered starters of lamb kofta or chilli-cheese arancini balls, then a choice of veggie risotto, fish and chips and stuffed chicken with potato dauphinoise for the mains. Then, the heavens opened... “The morning had started off lovely – it looked so promising,” says Charlotte, 32.
