Posh plays the peacemaker

Rumours of a rift between the Beckhams and their daughter-in-law Nicola have been rife over the past year, but they quashed any signs of a feud as they reunited over the Easter weekend.

Victoria, 48, and hubby David, 47, along with their two youngest children, Cruz, 18, and Harper, 11, flew to the US, where they spent time at the Peltz family’s sprawling £76 million Miami mansion, with the happy meet-up coinciding with the first wedding anniversary of Brooklyn, 24, and his wife Nicola, 28.

A source has told new that it was Victoria who played the peacemaker, in a bid to bury the hatchet once and for all.

“It was Victoria’s idea to get together – she was the one who extended the olive branch,” said our source. “With David’s encouragement, she swallowed a piece of humble pie and has realised that if she wants to maintain her close bond with Brooklyn, she has put an end to feud rumours.

“It was the perfect occasion to get everyone together for Easter and their one-year anniversary. Brooklyn and Nicola are so in love, and Victoria and David are in a really good place. Nicola is also really close to Harper and thinks of her as a little sister. Victoria loves being a tight-knit family, and that’s all she wants.”
