'Pure' Will is 'too good' for Love Island

For most of the Islanders we see walking into the villa, they’re there for two reasons – to find love and to build a career as an influencer.

But Will Young has already achieved the latter – he has a whopping 1.3 million followers on TikTok alone. Going by the handle @FarmerWill_, the 23-year-old farmer from Buckinghamshire went from being a small-town lad to a social media star.

Before entering the villa, Will entertained his followers by filming himself going about his day-to-day tasks on his family farm – often without a shirt on! He can also be seen wearing waterproofs while crawling through mud or rolling around with his lambs. So being in the villa must be quite a shock to the system!

He is no stranger to the celeb world though – just before he flew off to South Africa, one of TV’s most famous presenters paid him and his farm a visit. As part of a campaign for Head & Shoulders, Claudia Winkleman went to visit a bunch of influencers, and Will was one of the chosen few.

“Claudia was lovely and got stuck in,” he said.

Living the life of a “farmfluencer” for the day, fans saw The Traitors host, 51, mucking around in the pig pen and hanging out by the hay bales.

Claudia said of working with Will, “When I saw all these TikToks popping up about these new Head & Shoulders ambassadors, I had to go and see them to learn the tricks of the trade. But I do think Farmer Will needs to put a shirt on!”
