After a spectacular and emotional wedding, the celebrations continued in style for newly married Danny Miller and Steph Jones. Despite having only an hour’s sleep under his belt after a 5am finish, Danny seemed surprisingly fresh on day two of the festivities, and his new wife Steph was glowing as she slipped into her third bridal outfit of the weekend.
Wanting the celebrations to last as long as possible, the couple hired their stunning wedding venue Nunsmere Hall Hotel for four days. And they pulled out all the stops with a full day of activities and entertainment for their 80 guests.
“We wanted it to feel a bit like a holiday,” says midwife Steph, 30. “We thought about getting married abroad, but we knew it would be expensive for everyone. This way it was able to feel like a holiday and we could enjoy everything for longer than a day.”
The second day had a funfair theme, with the grounds of the Cheshire country house hotel being filled with a series of huge inflatables, including a bouncy castle and a giant dart board. There was also face painting and a treasure hunt for the kids, led by Captain Jack Sparrow.
The grounds had been decorated with an extravagant jungle-themed balloon display, featuring pandas, elephants and giraffes, and another balloon arch adorned the entrance of the tepee for “mini VIPs”.
The couple’s adorable nine-month-old son Albert was particularly taken with a statue of a tiger and couldn’t wait to sit on it for a picture with his proud mum and dad.
Danny and Steph tied the knot the day before in front of 140 of their friends and family in the beautiful grounds of the hotel, which features a woodland lake.
