There aren’t many baby showers that end with a crowd of people on the dance floor at 1.30am, but Lucy Fallon’s celebration turned into a day – and night – to remember.
The former Coronation Street star, who exclusively reveals to OK! that she and her footballer boyfriend Ryan Ledson are expecting a little boy, hosted the bash at the elegant Shankly Hotel in Liverpool surrounded by family, friends and several Corrie stars past and present.
The glamorous event was attended by 100 guests, including Corrie favourites Helen Flanagan [Rosie Webster], Sally Ann Matthews [Jenny Bradley], Ellie Leach [Faye Windass], Colson Smith [Craig Tinker] and Katie McGlynn [Sinead Tinker].
Speaking exclusively to OK!, Lucy – who played troubled Bethany Platt for five years – said everyone had a fantastic time, fuelled by plenty of prosecco and a rousing DJ set that went on into the night.
“Guest arrivals were at 4pm and there was a prosecco cart,” Lucy, 27, reveals. “And then when Ryan turned up around 6.30pm with the boys, he put money behind the bar – so everyone went a bit wild like they do at weddings when there’s a free bar! There were a lot of sore heads the next day.”
Of course, mum-to-be Lucy wasn’t able to enjoy the bubbly, but staying sober certainly didn’t stop her hitting the dance floor.
“I was basically dancing around like I was in a mosh pit or something,” she laughs. “I was the first one up and I was there until the end. I went upstairs at 10.30pm to put PJs on, but came back for more dancing until 1.30am.”
