GENERAL HOSPITAL: Josslyn Confronts Michael

With Dex’s future — and theirs as a couple — up in the air in the wake of Michael’s decision not to use the damning evidence he’s gathered against Sonny to send her former stepfather to jail, Josslyn is livid with her brother, and the siblings have a heated confrontation

“She feels betrayed,” sums up Jossslyn’s portayer, Eden McCoy. “She’s frustrated that nobody seems to have the perspective that she has about what this means for Dex, who she loves. She sees him as a real human being who has real feelings and is terrified for his life.” Michael defends himself for reneging on the deal he’d made with Dex, noting that he’s offered Dex the financial means with which to disappear, which is of little comfort to Joss. Notes McCoy, “Nobody seems to grasp the concept of how important this person is to Josslyn. Because Michael and Sonny and people involved are used to [life in and around the mob], they’re just so casual about sending people away,” which is Michael’s preferred solution for how to safeguard Dex from Sonny discovering his status as a double agent.

Joss makes it clear that she blames Michael for the predicament she and Dex now face — and threatens to turn Sonny in herself. “They’ve painted a very clear picture of Josslyn supporting Michael through the tough time he’s having with Willow’s illness,” the actress says. “Now she’s having a tough time and Michael’s not doing what she wants him to do and sometimes, that’s also a huge part of being brother and sister. You can’t always be on the same side.”
