Kayti Edwards, who dated the Friends star for a few months in 2006 and claims they stayed close, is convinced the long-sober actor had relapsed. “I don’t believe he just drowned in his Jacuzzi, that doesn’t sound right,” she told one outlet. “I know Matthew and I know that he wouldn’t have just drowned. I think he might have taken pills in the week leading up to this.”
