IT was a refreshingly familiar sight. On April 23, the Prince and Princess of Wales released an adorable photo of their youngest son, Prince Louis, to commemorate his latest milestone. “Harry 6th Birthday,” the couple wrote on social media, adding, “Thank you for all the kind wishes today.” The message was posted along-side a portrait of a beaming Louis — believed to be taken on the grounds of Windsor Castle — that Kate herself took.
It’s a tradition Kate’s been following since Prince George, now 10, was a baby. Despite undergoing chemotherapy — Kate, 42, revealed in late March that she’d been diagnosed with cancer following a planned abdominal surgery in January — the mom of three and her husband, Prince William, 41, are doing their best to maintain a sense of stability for Louis, George and Princess Charlotte, 8. “Even though Kate’s been ill, she and William want to continue doing what they’ve always done,” a palace insider tells Star, noting that Kate encouraged William’s recent return to royal duties. “She wants to reassure everyone that she’s doing better and is going to be OK.”
