The mother-of-three wrote about her father's "gentle demeanour and quiet strength" alongside a series of photographs featuring William and herself, as well as throwback snaps of the family patriarch with his wife of 59 years - her mum Patricia - and their three daughters.</p>
<p>By the sounds of Garner's post, her father was a truly wonderful man. "For how he teased with a mischievous smile, and for the way he invented the role of all in, ever patient girl dad," the West Virginian-raised star continued. "We are grateful for his work ethic, leadership and faith."</p>
