<p>In his memoir <em>Did I Ever Tell You This?</em> actor Sam Neill revealed that he was treated for angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma, a stage 3 blood cancer. Best known for his role in the <em>Jurassic Park</em> franchise, the Irish-born, New Zealand-raised star gave an update on ABC&rsquo;s <em>Australian Story</em> on October 16, saying that after chemotherapy failed to work on him after three months, his doctor switched him to an anti-cancer drug that requires fortnightly infusions and has complex side effects which left him feeling like he&rsquo;s done &ldquo;10 rounds with a boxer&rdquo;.</p>

<p>Now in remission, he has been told by doctors that at some point, the drug will stop working and his cancer will eventually return. &ldquo;It&rsquo;s out of my control &hellip; I started to look at my life and realised just how immensely grateful I am for so much of it &hellip; I&rsquo;m in a very uncertain world at the moment.&rdquo;</p>
<p>Neill stresses that he&rsquo;s &ldquo;prepared&rdquo; for the day that his treatments stop working. &ldquo;I&rsquo;m not in any way frightened of dying &hellip; but I would be annoyed,&rdquo; he added. &ldquo;There are things I still want to do.&rdquo;</p>
