He was excited to go to the next standard and a new class. He had already bought a new school uniform and books. His friend Blacky bear was also in the same class.

"I am excited to be in our class. It shall be loads of fun," said Jumpy, excitedly.

"You are right, Jumpy. But we will have to even study more than before," sighed Blacky.

Jumpy laughed and said, "Studying is a piece of cake for me. I'll do that easily.

Didn't you see that I topped the class last time?" boasted Jumpy.

"But just because you topped the last time, it does not mean, you'll top the class this time, too. You will have to study harder," Blacky said.

"Don't you give me any advice. I know what I have to do," Jumpy rudely snapped.

"All right. From now onwards, I'll not tell you anything," Blacky said and left.

But Jumpy's focus on studies became lesser. He spent more time playing.

He felt that being a topper in his previous class, automatically made him the topper in this class, too. He did not need to study as much.

"Jumpy, nowadays you're paying less attention to your studies. Playing is good but you should not play all the time. You will fall behind in your studies this way," said his mom.
