Cheeku was feeling very sad without his friends.
His mother saw him sad and said, "Cheeku, why don't you and I go to your grandmother's village?"
Cheeku jumped with joy. He had wanted to visit the village for a long time, as he was getting very bored in Delhi.
The next day, they took a bus and reached the village. Cheeku saw the animals in the village having fun in the river and playing various games like kabaddi, wrestling, and hide and seek.
He soon made friends with Jumpy monkey, Sally squirrel, Gigi giraffe, Blacky bear, and Camy calf. Cheeku had a lot of fun with all of them. He had only a few friends in Delhi, and they lived far away. But here, he felt as if everyone in the village were his friends.
One day, everyone decided to play a different kind of game. They named it 'courtroom!' A chair was set up for Jumpy. A table was placed in front of the chair, and a wooden mallet was placed on the table. Behind that chair, a picture of the lady of justice holding scales and wearing a black blindfold on her eyes was hung. As soon as Jumpy sat on that chair, he became the judge and started solving the disputes of the animals.
Cheeku enjoyed this game and wanted to become a judge, too.
Seeing his enthusiasm, Jumpy said, "Since Cheeku is new, let him be the judge! We all will bring a case before him. Let's see how he resolves disputes."
Cheeku was very happy. As soon as he became the judge, he hit the table with the hammer. When he did this, all the animals became silent. Cheeku liked the power of his hammer.
After a while, Sally, disguised as an old woman, reached Cheeku's court with the support of a stick. All the animals were secretly watching the spectacle, wondering what would happen next.
Blacky called out loudly, "The next plaintiff may approach..."
Upon hearing this, Sally approached Judge Cheeku.
