"Yes, Mom! Don't worry, we've packed everything. We've been on holiday many times before. We know what we're doing," said Vikas, who was putting some books to read. He loved to read books while travelling.
They were going to Lonavala.
"This time, I'll come to see the dam too. I heard it's beautiful," Vikas said, excitedly sharing his plans.
"Sure, sure! Roam wherever you like. I won't refuse," agreed Dad.
"Yes, Dad, I also want to roam around. Last time, you didn't let us climb the mountain, but it was such a beautiful green hill. There was a waterfall nearby too," said Mukta.
"We were in a hurry at that time, and it was the rainy season. You know it's dangerous to go to the mountains when it's raining. It gets very slippery, and there's a risk of landslides," said Dad.
"Yes, Mom! It looks like our bus has arrived. Come on, let's load the luggage. I can hear it outside," Vikas said, eager to go.
Their house was near the bus stop. They loaded their bags, then boarded the bus and took their seats.
They put on their masks and sanitized their hands. After a while, the bus started. It was an AC bus, so it was cool inside.
After passing through the market and the streets, the bus ran at high speed on the highway.
Vikas took out a book and started reading. Mukta put on her earphones to listen to music. Mom stroked her hair, and Dad hummed songs with his eyes closed.
