<p><strong>THE HANDHELD GAMING MARKET</strong> has another contender, Logitech&rsquo;s G Cloud Gaming Handheld. It&rsquo;s a little over 10-inches across and 1.3-inches thick, has a 7-inch 16:9 touchscreen running at 1080p, with a brightness of 450 nits and a refresh rate of 60Hz.&nbsp; On the outside, there are all the gaming buttons you need, while inside there&rsquo;s a SnapDragon 720G processor, an 8-core chip running at up to 2.3Ghz with 64GB of memory. The 6,000mAh battery is good for over 12 hours of gaming, an improvement over rivals such as the Steam Deck, which offers two hours. All this runs on a customized version of Android. First impressions of the G Cloud hardware is that it&rsquo;s large enough for a good gaming experience, while being lightweight at just over 1lb.</p>

<p id="2">G Cloud games come via subscription services such as Microsoft&rsquo;s Game Pass or Nvidia&rsquo;s GeForce Now. You can also use Steam Link, or download remote-play games from Google. The serious gaming power is supplied by the cloud, so you&rsquo;ll need a solid Wi-Fi signal&mdash;there&rsquo;s no 5G, so gaming in the wilderness is out. All this will cost $349, and though the Steam Deck is more expensive, it&rsquo;s a gaming rig in a handheld, so you can play games locally, as well as stream games. The G Cloud isn&rsquo;t a direct rival as it&rsquo;s cloud-only. Good luck to Logitech, but this isn&rsquo;t an easy market in which to prosper. Cloud gaming has been hailed as a &lsquo;thing&rsquo; for a while, but success is proving elusive. The price is already drawing criticism, as well as comparisons to its more powerful rivals. Google has tried this market too, and that didn&rsquo;t end well&nbsp;</p>
