SAMSUNG’S NEW ULTRA LAPTOP sits at the top of its laptop range, boasting a new design. There are suitably heavyweight components to match its name. Samsung sent us the top-end model, with a Core i9 processor and GeForce RTX 4070 graphics that push it into gaming laptop territory, most notably the 2023 Razer Blade 16. It also packs enough multithreaded performance to make it a worthy alternative to the 16-inch MacBook Pro.
I mention these two rivals because Samsung has emphasized the slick dimensions. It’s impressive and unusual to see such powerful components inside a sub-17mm design, and at 1.8kg it’s light, too; the 16-inch MacBook Pro weighs 2.2kg, and the Blade 2.5kg.
