DEEPOTSAV 2023: AYODHYA GLEAMS IN GOLD
The sacred city of Ayodhya transformed into a golden spectacle as a record 22.23 lakh diyas illuminated the banks of the Saryu River. The sight was nothing short of incredible, otherworldly, and eternally captivating, defining the unimaginable beauty that unfolded in the heart of Ramnagari Ayodhya, and adding charm to the Deepotsav celebrations. The air was filled with chants of "Jai Shri Ram, Ram Ram Jai Raja Ram, Jai Siya Ram, Siyavar Ramchandra ki Jai," by residents, devoted pilgrims, and travellers from distant corners of India, echoing through the city. Coinciding with Hanuman Jayanti, the day became an unparalleled event in Ayodhya, infused with devotion and spirituality. The radiant glow of lamps symbolised faith, joy, and togetherness. The ongoing construction of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, nearing completion, added an extra layer of jubilation to the festivities. Devotees immersed themselves in joy and excitement, expressing heartfelt devotion to the beloved Lord. With only few days remaining, the consecration ceremony of Shri Ram Lalla will be held on January 22, 2024. The whole of Awadhpuri was decorated for Deepotsav 2023 with attractive lighting arrangements made on the temples of Ayodhya, main roads, lanes, all the government and religious buildings. The city residents had also decorated their homes. Distinguished individuals, including Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak from the Uttar Pradesh Cabinet, lit lamps and performed the Aarti of Saryu Mata.
