Aarifah -"Anyway"
Mumbai-bred and Pune-based singer-songwriter Aarifah's just-released sophomore single comes in the shape of the acoustic indie-rock track entitled "Anyway." The song opens with poignant piano parts and Aarifah's calming vocals before gentle acoustic guitar strumming, bass, drums and strings enter the fray. In a statement, Aarifah said, "This song is about going through heartbreak, learning that nothing can protect me from it, and then realizing that every single detail, had its part to play, in meeting you..."
Anubha Kaul, Aman Jagwani -"Lighthouse"
Mumbai artists vocalist Anubha Kaul and drummer/producer Aman Jagwani are out with their latest offering, the immersive "Lighthouse." The track opens delicately and stays that way for much of it before groovy drums help close out the song. Kaul's blissful vocals shine throughout with harmonies and luxurious melodies. In a statement, the artists said, "Lighthouse' is a meditative, calming, and sometimes frightful journey towards comfort or home. Much like a real lighthouse, we all have that one thing, or person, a space or place that offers grounding or solace in times of difficulty."
Ash Lune -"Sunday Afternoon'
Mumbai-bred and Australia-based singer-songwriter Ash Lune's newest single is the acoustic-leaning "Sunday Afternoon." The track features jangly guitar strumming, string parts, Ash Lune's evocative vocals, radiant harmonies and a hooky vocal section. In a statement, the artist said, "It's an honest description of what you'd see if you came over to my place on a Sunday afternoon. It's the most honest description of my anxiety there is."
