With Eurovision taking place on Saturday 13 May, there are still 20 places up for grabs in the world’s greatest music contest, being held in Liverpool on behalf of last year’s winners Ukraine.

On Tuesday and Thursday, 31 hopefuls will compete in the live Eurovision semi-finals, with 10 nations from each semi-final going through. They’ll be joined in the final by Ukraine, plus the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain, who qualify automatically.

Alesha Dixon, Hannah Waddingham and Ukrainian singer-songwriter Julia Sanina host the glittering semi-finals, both held in Liverpool, which include performances from Rita Ora and home-town girl Rebecca Ferguson.
