GET SET FOR SUMMER

THE JETTY

In this brooding four-part Lancashireset crime drama, Jenna Coleman (right) takes centre stage as dedicated detective Ember Manning, who investigates when a lakeside holiday home catches fire. When links emerge to a podcast about a case involving a mysterious disappearance and a disturbing relationship between two underage girls and an older man, Ember has to take an unsettling look at her own past… Amelia Bullmore, Ruby Stokes, Matthew McNulty and Tom Glynn-Carney co-star.

KAOS

In a darkly comic, contemporary take on Greek mythology, Hollywood star Jeff Goldblum (below) takes on the role of Zeus, cruel and all-powerful king of the Gods, in this series from award-winning writer Charlie Covell. When Zeus wakes up one morning and discovers a wrinkle on his forehead, he believes it’s the first sign of an ancient prophecy that foresees his destruction. Is his one-time friend Prometheus plotting his downfall? Janet McTeer, David Thewlis and Billie Piper co-star.

TIME BANDITS

Friends’ Lisa Kudrow is Penelope, the leader of a ragtag group of thieves and bandits, in this TV adaptation of the cult 1981 movie. Together, the team set out on a thrilling quest to save the parents of their newest recruit, an 11-year-old history buff named Kevin. As they travel through time and space, they witness the creation of Stonehenge, see the Trojan Horse, and escape dinosaurs in the prehistoric ages. It’s created by Flight of the Conchords’ Jemaine Clement and What We Do in the Shadows’ Taika Waititi.
