NEW TRAVELOGUE The Mighty Mississippi with Nick Knowles Thu & Fri, 9pm, Channel 5
His previous Stateside TV travelogues have taken Nick Knowles to Death Valley, the Grand Canyon and the Colorado River. Now, the 61-year-old is crossing the pond once more for a new two-part series in which he travels the length of another iconic US waterway, the Mississippi.
His journey traces the river, which stretches for 2,350 miles, from Minneapolis in the north to New Orleans in the south, via St Louis and Memphis.
'It's an epic trip by air, road and river along the length of the Mississippi, which winds its way through 10 states, bisecting the entire country, he says.
