Tom Jones, the lusty but kind-hearted hero of Henry Fielding’s 1749 novel of the same name, is one of the most lovable characters in literature.
Now, a new four-part adaptation, available as a box set on ITVX from 4 May, sees Solly McLeod take on the role of the foundling with the roving eye, who was previously played by Albert Finney in a 1963 film and Max Beesley in a 1997 BBC series.
