DARBY AND JOAN
NEW THURSDAY, 8 PM, DRAMA DRAMA (BOX SET, UKTV PLAY)
Take two stars of the silver screen, stir in a spot of sleuthing, and add a dash of sunshine - what do you get? Glossy crime drama Darby and Joan, which arrives on Drama this week, having debuted on streaming service Acorn TV in 2022.
The eight-part series sees Golden Globe-nominated actors Bryan Brown and Greta Scacchi play Jack Darby and Joan Kirkhope, chalk-and-cheese strangers who team up to fight crime after meeting in the Australian outback.
'They're both fiercely independent, but it's better when the other one is there,' explains Italian-Australian star Greta, 63, talking to TV Times from her sunny garden in Sussex as we catch up with her and Bryan for an exclusive video interview.
