ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL
MONDAY 23 DECEMBER, 9PM, CHANNEL 5 DRAMA
An emotional yuletide in the Yorkshire Dales awaits in this year’s seasonal instalment of Channel 5’s hit vet drama All Creatures Great and Small.
Following on from the recent fifth series, the special episode finds James Herriot (played by Nicholas Ralph) and wife Helen (Rachel Shenton) eager to celebrate both the festivities and their son Jimmy’s first birthday, despite the wartime shortages of 1941.
Elsewhere, Siegfried Farnon (Samuel West) deals with an abandoned fox cub, while his younger brother Tristan (Callum Woodhouse) must track down some pigeons. And housekeeper Mrs Hall (Anna Madeley) needs support after hearing distressing news about the ship on which her son Edward is serving in the Far East.
Here, in an exclusive chat, Nicholas, 34, and Callum, 30, give TV Times their take…
What is Christmas 1941 like for everyone in the fictional village of Darrowby?
