ROBSON GREEN'S WEEKEND ESCAPES
MONDAY-FRIDAY, 6.30 PM, BBC2 TRAVELOGUE
Robson Green has long championed the benefits of spending time outdoors through his TV travelogues. So the popular actor is delighted to R be embarking on more off-the-beaten-track adventures to showcase the importance of rest and relaxation in his hit BBC2 series Robson Green's Weekend Escapes.
Returning on New Year's Day for a second outing, the new run of 15-weekday episodes again follow the Northumberland-born star as he explores his beloved northeast, and a little further afield, accompanied by relatives and famous friends. Along the way, there will be stays in unique accommodations as well as an array of activities to help boost the mind, body, and spirit.
*Life just seems to be getting busier,' says Robson, 59, who reprises his role as Grantchester's DI Geordie Keating when the ITV1 period crime drama returns for an eighth season this week (see feature, page 6).
'My way of hitting the pause button is getting into the great outdoors and spending quality time with friends and family. It's one of the best ways I know to relax and recharge.
