Walford wally Rocky Cotton has made many a duff decision during his time in the Square, but nothing like this. Crippled with debt and seeing no other way out, the car salesman has torched Kathy’s caff to make a fraudulent insurance claim… And to say that things haven’t gone to plan is quite the understatement.
This week, the blaze is fully extinguished but the heat is rising for Rocky, for not only are innocent people in hospital, but his beloved Kathy is in the firing line.
It’s tense from the off as the Beales congregate at Walford General. Cindy blames Kathy for what has happened – she knew the electrics were dicky, but didn’t fix them – and storms off in disgust when Ian supports his stressed mum.
