MRS. BROWN'S BOYS NEW CHRISTMAS DAY, 10.45PM, & NEW YEAR'S DAY, 10PM, BBC1 COMEDY
Brendan O'Carroll is always full of cheer when TV Times joins him for our annual chat about the festive editions of his BBC1 sitcom Mrs. Brown's Boys.
But, unfortunately, the same can't be said for his Irish matriarch, Agnes Brown, who's having trouble embracing the joys of the season in this year's first new story, Mammy's Mare, as her chaotic clan seem set on ruining her plans for a quiet Christmas!
Here, in an exclusive interview, Brendan, 68, tells us what's ruffled his character's feathers...
We hear there are ructions in chez Brown after Agnes’ daughter, Cathy, kicks her out of the kitchen. What happens?!
Everybody who watches Mrs. Brown’s Boys knows that Agnes is a complete control freak. So when Cathy [played by Brendan’s wife, Jennifer Gibney] announces that she’s cooking Christmas dinner, Agnes really wants her to fail! The dinner reveal is magnificent.
