The societal battle between old and new money continues as we return to glittering 1880s New York City for a second series of Sky Atlantic’s The Gilded Age.
The new eight-part run finds ruthless nouveau-riche railroad tycoon George Russell (played by Morgan Spector) and his ambitious wife Bertha (Carrie Coon) still trying to secure their place among their established neighbours – caustic Agnes van Rhijn (Christine Baranski), her kindly sister Ada Brook (Cynthia Nixon) and their spirited niece Marian Brook (Louisa Jacobson).
