TWO DOORS DOWN
FRIDAY, 9.30PM, BBC1 COMEDY
(BOX SET, BBC iPLAYER)
Beth and Eric Baird are no strangers to contending with the whims of their neighbours in hit Scottish sitcom Two Doors Down.
But life is about to get even more chaotic for the mild-mannered couple (played by Arabella Weir and Alex Norton) as we return to Latimer Crescent for a seventh series – and it’s all down to the shock reappearance of fan favourite Cathy Whyte!
Viewers will recall that the high-maintenance housewife (Doon Mackichan, see box, right) dumped her henpecked husband, Colin (Jonathan Watson), in the season-five finale to embark on a new life with a timeshare salesman in Egypt.
Here, in an exclusive interview, Alex, 73, and Jonathan, 65, tell TV Times what to expect…
Were you as thrilled as fans that Doon was returning to the show?
