EMMERDALE
MONDAY-FRIDAY, TIMES VARY, ITV1 SOAP
Super Soap Week on ITV1 always delivers some shocks and surprises, but we never counted on Aaron Dingle arriving in the Dales. The mechanic, who left the village in December 2021 – and made a brief return as part of Emmerdale’s 50th anniversary celebrations last year – has been brought back kicking and screaming from Italy by his uncle Cain, who discovered he’d gone down a dangerous path.
While Aaron has been causing trouble in foreign climes, actor Danny Miller has had a far happier time. Off-screen, he has become a father of two – Albert was born in October 2021, while Edith arrived in August this year.
We caught up with Danny, 32, to find out what’s on the cards for Aaron this time round…
You and your wife, Steph Jones, recently welcomed your second child. Have you come back to Emmerdale so you can have a rest?!
Ha! I’ve come back to help my family, but Emmerdale was always like another family to me, so it was a very easy decision to make. It’s been quite hard being away from my wife and kids due to the long hours, but it is what it is and I’m enjoying it – and it’s good that I can get home for bath time and bedtime.
How does it feel to be on set with your colleagues again?
