PRESUMED INNOCENT NEW FROM WED 12 JUNE, APPLE TV+ THRILLER (FIRST TWO EPISODES FROM 12 JUNE, THEN WEEKLY)

A married prosecutor finds himself on the wrong side of the law when his latest case hits too close to home in new courtroom thriller Presumed Innocent.

Based on the bestselling novel of the same name by lawyer turned-crime-writer Scott Turow, the much-anticipated eight-part series arrives on Apple TV+ this week and follows Chicago-based high-flyer Rusty Sabich (Hollywood film star Jake Gyllenhaal, in his first major TV role) after he discovers that his colleague Carolyn Polhemus (Norwegian actor Renate Reinsve) has been murdered.

ON THE CASE

The news of Carolyn's death sends shock waves throughout the city and, despite protests from his rival, Tommy Molto (Dopesick's Peter Sarsgaard), that he worked too closely with the victim to be able to lead the investigation objectively, chief deputy prosecutor Rusty is assigned to head up the case by his boss, District Attorney Raymond Horgan (The Queen's Gambit star Bill Camp).
