THE GOOD SHIP MURDER
FRIDAY, 9PM, CHANNEL 5 DRAMA
Claire Sweeney is riding the crest of a wave right now – playing Cassie Plummer in Coronation Street and cruise entertainment director Beverly Carnell in Channel 5’s mystery drama The Good Ship Murder as well as training to compete in the new series of Dancing on Ice.
Having worked on cruise ships, Claire was delighted to land the role of Beverly, whose job it is to ensure that the show goes on – even if the stage is cordoned off with crimescene tape! And as TV Times joins Claire, 52 , for an exclusive chat, she tells us why she’s finding life absolutely swell…
How would you describe your character, Beverly?
Her whole life is that cruise ship – she calls herself ‘the face of the ship’! When all these murders are happening, all she’s worried about is, ‘Will the juggler go on on time?!’
