MICHAEL McINTYRE’S 25TH YEAR STAND-UP SPECIAL
SATURDAY, 8.35PM, BBC1 COMEDY
Get ready for a ‘macnificent’ evening full of laughter as Michael McIntyre celebrates a quarter of a century performing stand-up comedy with a TV extravaganza on BBC1.
Filmed at the London Palladium, Michael McIntyre’s 25th Year Stand-up Special sees the host of The Wheel mark his career milestone with a showcase of material from his current sold-out world tour.
Here, Michael, 48, reveals what’s in store…
Congratulations on the silver anniversary of your stand-up debut, Michael! This one-off spectacular is a special recording of your Macnificent show – what should we expect?
The material is all new, so I’m really excited for people to see it. There are naturally some references to ageing, given it’s my 25th year as a stand-up. But stand-up is best in a theatre and the Palladium is the best theatre there is, so it made for a magnificent night.
Do you have any standout memories from your early years on the circuit?
