SPRINGTIME ON THE FARM
NEW TUESDAY-FRIDAY, 8PM,
CHANNEL 5 FACTUAL
Helen Skelton is battling a cold as she chats to TV Times about the return of Springtime on the Farm, but even that can’t dampen her enthusiasm for the joys to be found in this special season of the year.
‘It’s been a long time coming and, yes, the weather’s been grim, but I finally feel spring’s here,’ smiles the popular presenter, 39, during our exclusive interview. ‘My garden’s bursting with daffodils and crocuses.’
As if reward for the cold, wet winter, the hit Channel 5 show has been extended from its usual one-week run to two, with Helen again helping Jules Hudson and farming brothers Rob and Dave Nicholson deliver lambs, piglets and goat kids at the main hub, Cannon Hall Farm in South Yorkshire.
‘Get ready for lambs, lambs and more lambs!’ says Helen, who, here, tells us more…
How much do you personally look forward to the spring season, Helen?
So much! It’s a great season for so many things – a time for fresh starts, new beginnings, lighter evenings and the chance to get outside and enjoy the great British countryside.
You must be delighted that the show will be on our screens for a longer run this year…
