BLACKSHORE SAT, 9PM, U&DRAMA DRAMA (BOX SET, U)
Lisa Dwan is the first to admit that her haunted crime-fighter, DI Fia Lucey, makes quite an impression in the opening scene of Irish noir Blackshore.
‘She breaks someone’s nose – and isn’t apologetic!’ explains the Bloodlands star, joining TV Times for an exclusive interview ahead of the six-parter’s arrival on U&Drama this week. ‘I fell in love with her straight away!’
Written by Kate O’Riordan (Smother), the mystery begins with ambitious Fia working in Dublin, but, after a series of allegations about her conduct, she’s banished to rural Blackwater. It’s a place uncomfortably close to her (fictional) home town of Blackshore, where tragedy befell the community two decades ago when Fia’s father killed everyone in her family except her in a murder-suicide after he was linked to the disappearance of a local teenage girl.
Here, Lisa tells us more…
