THE SUPERVET NEW THURSDAY, 8PM, C4 FACTUAL

When Professor Noel Fitzpatrick calls TV Times to talk about the return of his acclaimed C4 show The Supervet, he’s at his Surrey clinic Fitzpatrick Referrals, where cameras have followed his work since 2014.

‘I set out to dedicate my life to the welfare of animals, and I feel blessed we’ve had this magnificent platform for the past decade,’ says the Irish veterinary pioneer, 56, whose Maine Coon cat Ricochet sits on his knee happily listening to our exclusive interview.

Here, Noel reveals what viewers can expect from the 19th series…

Congratulations on 10 years of The Supervet, Noel. Did you imagine when it started that the show would reach this milestone?

Well, it would be easy to quip, ‘Oh, no, I never thought the show would go this far.’ But, actually, I did! Why? Because I have hope. And there’s still much more work to do.

The new five-part run opens with a rescue special with stories of animals you have helped with life-saving surgery. Who should we look out for?
