HER father famously wrote the lyrics “You’re once, twice, three times a lady”. And that’s exactly what Sofia Richie was when she said “I do” to music executive Elliot Grainge at their fairytale wedding in France. The bride wowed in three custom-made Chanel wedding gowns, each worth a small fortune, and it was clear no expense was spared for the lavish event.
Money is certainly not a problem. Sofia is the daughter of musician Lionel Richie and groom Elliot Grainge’s dad is Universal Music CEO Lucian Grainge – and their nuptials reflected the opulence befitting a music dynasty.
The setting was romantic too with white blooms lining a sweeping staircase at the luxury Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in the French Riviera where Sofia (24) and Elliot (29) said their vows.
Among the guests were her sister, Nicole Richie and husband Joel Madden, Paris Hilton and Carter Reum, and Cameron Diaz and husband Benji Madden.
It wasn’t a celeb-studded event, however. Sofia and Elliot, who owns his own record label, aren’t fans of the limelight. Elliot – whose talents include Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, Billie Eilish, Rihanna and Lady Gaga – in particular prefers to stay out of the public eye.
“Sofia loves that he’s low-key and doesn’t crave the spotlight,” a source close to the couple told US magazine. “They like to be homebodies, but also enjoy going out together.”
Their wedding was anything but lowkey though – it was a three-day affair that celebrated their love.
