Britney Spears and Sam Asghari's fairytale marriage has imploded amid claims of infidelity and abuse

A TOXIC TURNAROUND

JUST two months ago they looked as loved-up as ever, soaking up the mid-summer sun on a yacht in the heat of Cabo San Lucas in Mexico.

But the details that have emerged following the shock news that Britney Spears and Sam Asghari are heading for the divorce courts tell of plenty of trouble in paradise.

Allegations of the pop singer’s infidelity, claims she left him bruised after attacking him in bed and reports of blowout fights and screaming matches have been doing the rounds.

The pair are reportedly no longer speaking, communicating only through their lawyers.

Britney (41) has hired celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser – whose clients have included Kim Kardashian, Kevin Costner and Johnny Depp – to handle her case.

Britney said she’s “a little shocked” by the collapse of the marriage.

Sam said it’s sad but “s**t happens”.

Sam has all but gone to ground, but Britney was spotted on a midnight run to buy a raspberry drink and has maintained her prolific social-media presence.

In one video, posted after a night out with a group of men, one guy licks her leg as she poses in a green minidress and knee-high white boots. In another clip she dances around her living room in a black cropped top and neon bikini bottoms. “I couldn’t take the pain anymore, honestly,” she says in the caption.

“I’ve been playing it strong for way too long and my Instagram may seem perfect, but it’s far from reality and I think we all know that!”
