GIVE HER FLOWERS!

1 There’s nothing like a big break-up to fuel musical greatness and MILEY CYRUS is proof of this.

The pop star is riding high right now thanks to her latest track, Flowers, a self-love anthem inspired by her split from her ex- husband, Aussie actor Liam Hemsworth.

On its release in January, it shot to No 1 worldwide and became the most-streamed song in a single week in Spotify history.

“She can buy her own Flowers and break her own records,” Spotify wrote on Twitter during the song’s release week. The 30-year-old songbird expressed her gratitude on the ’Gram, saying, “This song is dedicated to my fans and the steadfast self- love I wish for each of you. Forever grateful, Miley.”

It’s the first single of her eighth album, which drops on 10 March.

Entitled Endless Summer Vacation, it is the follow-up to 2020’s Plastic Hearts and she’s described it as her “love letter to Los Angeles”.

It was recorded in her hometown of LA and produced with Kid Harpoon and Tyler Johnson, who worked on Harry Styles’ Harry’s House.

Independence and self-reliance are key issues that run throughout the album.

“This is just a chapter of my life. I feel like in general, as a culture, we’re all feeling like it’s time to express our own narrative and regain that control of who we are,” she says.

“This is kind of my idea of living with my head in the clouds of my own fantasy and the world that I want to create.”
