A FEW questions come to mind here. For instance: man want to wed for a why would a 93-year-old fifth time, especially good track record in the when he doesn't have a marriage department? And why, when you have $20 billion (R360bn) to your name, would you not be content to enjoy your twilight years and the comforts of your coffers without the pressure of a new relationship? The answer, it seems, is this: tycoon Rupert Murdoch is addicted to love.
He's been described as "the greatest romantic of our time" and is driven by an eternal quest for lasting happiness.
"The man just loves love," Vanity Fair says - and a close friend from Rupert's native Australia agrees. "He doesn't like to be alone especially since he stepped back from the business." And so the retired media mogul went where he's been so often before: to the altar which this time was erected at the Moraga vineyard, Rupert's swanky California wine estate.
The new Mrs Murdoch is Elena Zhukova, a 67-year-old Russian-born scientist who was introduced to him by her friend Wendi Deng - the third Mrs Murdoch.
The bride wore an ankle-length white gown with square neckline by London designer Emilia Wickstead, a favourite of the Princess of Wales and Duchess of Sussex. The groom was in a dark suit and gold tie, pairing the ensemble with a pair of black sneakers.
Guests included several people connected to US presidential hopeful Donald Trump, who Rupert supports.
One was William Barr, the former US attorney general who recently made news for pledging his support to Trump's presidential campaign.
Another was Michael Milken, the "junk bond king" pardoned by Trump after serving two years of a 10-year sentence for various financial crimes.
