IMAN FANDI AND WENDY JACOBS
Is there a mother-and-daughter duo in Singapore quite as glamorous as Iman Fandi and Wendy Jacobs? Elegant and charming, the pair embody the bold, feminine allure of the N°5 eau de parfum.
To make bold decisions - for model and singer-songwriter Iman Fandi, and her supermodel mother Wendy Jacobs, that seems to be the recurring theme of their lives. After all, both mother and daughter are no strangers to the spotlight man is signed under Universal Music Singapore, already has three singles under her belt, and has modelled in campaigns for major fashion houses, while Jacobs herself was a household name here, back when she was an active model.
There's a legacy, and an innate understanding between the two, though Iman admits that it can be challenging to separate herself from the reach of her family's name, especially when she was first starting out. This is why she prefers to do things on her own - she dropped her first single, the futuristic dance-pop track Timeframe, without telling Jacobs. "I felt like I had to prove something. I wanted to show them that 'hey, I'm doing this, I'm a grown-up now," she says.
