As an organisation, UNICEF brings together a number of high-powered vices Lunder their roof, and their objective to bringing down England's former football captain and sporting world's superstar, David Beckham, couldn't have been clearer: "As a sportsperson, it's easy to understand why David is a great choice. UNICEF is fortunate to have him as a Global Goodwill Ambassador for almost two decades," says Cynthia McCaffrey, UNICEF's India Representative. "We've known and seen the power of his voice and commitment, and we're lucky we have his time and energy around children and their rights, and to speak about issues of equality, equal opportunities, and access to quality services that empower young people, especially girls, who are at most risk, and most vulnerable. This message of equal access to quality education and health and leading to empowerment is really a strong incentive to come to India."
