Let your imagination run free as we unveil the new Weekend Max Mara Signature Collection, a collaboration with Milan-based designer, Arthur Arbesser. “An ode to fantasy,” these words describe the collection perfectly, where each creation reflects the unique experiences of its creators.

Growing up in Austria, Arbesser was an enthusiast of theatre, ballet, and opera. His deep interest in his city’s history and culture is evident in his works. Today, we witness these influences in this latest collaboration: Vienna and ballet leave a subtle imprint, symbolising not only their essence but also the values Max Mara embodies.

The collection signifies freedom of movement, exemplified by the fluidity and deconstructed style of the silhouette. Arbesser’s vision comes to life in buoyant prints featuring bright and bold motifs, inspired by his own oil paintings. Drawing inspiration from Viennese modernism, the collection incoparates checks and stripes, embellished with lace inserts for a patchwork effect.

Playful yet refined, the collection also features full and playful dresses and skirts that exude a sense of whimsy. Meanwhile, athleisure pieces effortlessly capture the laid-back essence of post-rehearsal ballet. To provide balance, solid or striped jackets, shirts, and pants are borrowed from uniforms and workwear. Similarly, the trench coat with a canvas collar adds a touch of utility to the collection.

Visually, the palette comprises timeless and vibrant colors such as royal blue, mint, aubergine, and sparkle. Fabrics like cotton poplin, silk, and jersey charm the senses, complemented by accessories including evening versions of the iconic Pasticcino Bag, airy plimsolls, and a brand new bucket hat.
